This is permanent hair REDUCTION. Each area will need 8-10 treatments, depending on the client. It’s best suited for clients with fair skin and dark hair. IPL works on brown and black hair only and is NOT effective on blonde, red, gray or white hair. Most clients will achieve a permanent reduction between 80-90% with any remaining hair being very light in color and fine in texture, thus making it possible to shave or wax without causing irritation.
This treatment is NOT safe for pregnant or nursing mothers, clients with pace makers, clients on Accutane, clients with dark complexions (Fitzpatrick 5 is the highest the IPL device can safely treat), clients on certain medications (check with your doctor)
Clients must arrive clean and shaved within 24 hours. Hair can not be more than 1/8” in length. No direct sun exposure for 2 weeks before or after receiving an IPL treatment, No excessive heat for 1-2 weeks after treatment like saunas or hot tubs.
After your initial series, move to our Maintenance Phase with significantly reduced rates to keep remaining hair growth at bay. Most clients maintain year-round smoothness with just 3–4 sessions annually.
Please note that facial hair is the only exception to maintenance pricing due to hormonal influences. While IPL significantly reduces dark facial hair, ongoing monthly treatments are recommended to manage regrowth effectively without the need for shaving or waxing.

Permanent hair reduction can be uncomfortable but it’s not unbearable. If you’re concerned we recommend taking either 2 Tylenol or ibuprofen 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment.
irst, make sure you haven’t had sun exposure on the treatment area for 2 weeks prior to treatment. Second, you will need to shave the area the evening before, or morning of your appointment. You must arrive with clean, dry skin and hair no longer than 1/4 the length of a grain of rice. You must avoid heat and direct sun exposure for 7 days after treatment.
IPL targets pigment to progressively weaken hair follicles, resulting in finer, thinner regrowth. After 8–10 sessions, most clients achieve an 80–90% permanent reduction in hair growth.
For those with sensitive skin or ingrown hairs, IPL reduces density to a manageable level where remaining hair is soft and light. Once your initial series is complete, you can maintain results and suppress regrowth with just 2–3 annual appointments.
